| Zhuoma prepared a sumptuous lunch to entertain us. We cheer up with the Qingke barley wine, a high-pitched toast to Zhuoma represented the host’s deeply feelings. |
The traditions, buildings and even the food in Tibet are very different from any other region in China.
CCTV reporter Pan Jinjing made a special visit to Daofu County in western Sichuan province, a celebrated center of Tibetan culture.
Looking down, we first see the Daofu Tibetan houses, row upon row. They’re mainly brown and white. White walls and the brown-red pigmented wooden structure have charm under blue sky and white clouds.
On our arrival, These Tibetan grandmothers warmly welcome us, giving us the Hada, the traditional Tibetan scarf. A Tibetan girl Zhuoma is pleased to serve as our guide, introducing us to the Daofu houses they are very proud of. As we enter the room, we are hit by a strong and fragrant aroma - Zhuoma told me that this is the scent from local cedar wood.
