Tibetan fashion designer makes brand wordwide

The term "Fashion" seems far away from Tibet, whereas stylist Tashi who has just held two fashion shows in Lhasa has made a surprising debut in the international fashion industry.

Before Christmas of 2012, bills from Europe and Japan have already ordered Tashi's new collections.

Tashi established his own brand three years ago. He names the brand with "Yeeom",meaning wisdom,beauty,kindness and health in Tibetan. Elements of his brand combine traditional and modern fashion styles in Tibet.

"I enjoy creating a brand instead of expecting quick results", said by Tashi.

Tashi designs three main colors of "Yeeom", black, gray and blue. Compared with normal Tibetan consumes, Tashi's collection is regarded edgy and special.

He insists on creating Tibetans' own fashion brand while adapting to the popular international fashionable trend.

"The reason why I create this brand is because I love Tibet and the Tibetan culture. Our achievement so far is positive and we plan to bring the brand to a larger international stage", said by Tashi.
