Ethnic costumes brighten annual Tibetan two sessions

In the just concluded Tibetan two sessions, deputies from various prefectures and ethnic groups of Tibet Autonomous Region gathered together to perform duties and participate in politics. They presented not only proposals and ideas, but also their unique fineries.

Tibetan People’s Congress and Tibetan People’s Political Consultative Conference (“two sessions” for short) are held annually, which is the arena for Tibetan deputies to participate in the administration and discussion of regional affairs.

In the latest sessions,the number of deputies from minority ethnic groups has kept increasing. There are 455 deputies from Tibetan, Hui, Monpa and Lhoba, and some other minority ethnic groups participating in the 1st session of the 10th Tibet People’s Political Consultative Conference, accounting to 74 percent of all the deputies.
