Worship three “firsts” in Lhoka Prefecture

The “netizens experience Losar in Tibet” group visited three champion scenic spots in Lhoka Prefecture of Tibet Autonomous Region, Samye Monastery, Yumbu Lhakhang Palace, and Changzhub Monastery.

In Tibetan custom, people would go to monasteries and hang up the sutra streamers and flags on holy mountains and rivers to pray for the best.

The netizens and journalists organized as a reward by the Tibet.cn to experience Tibetan New Year in the TAR joined the Tibetan people and followed their way of celebrating the new year.

Worshiping Buddhas in monasteries, burning mulberry leaves and hanging up sutra flags high on the mountains and riverbanks are the most prevalent customs of paying homage to the dieties among Tibetan people.
