Tibetan athletes perform well in national games

Penba Tsering, a Tibetan athlete claimed the title of the National Equestrian Championships (or the premininary of the 12th National Games) held in North China's Shandong Province from May, 10th to 12th. Meanwhile,Tibet team wrapped up second in the group event.

Altogether 54 athletes from ten provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions nationwide participated in the matches. Four athletes from Tibet Autonomous Region competed in both group and individual events. Penba Tsering, Penba Tashi, Kelzang Phuntsok and Tenzin Loden finished first, seventh, tenth and fourteenth respectively, all qualified for final rounds at the 12th National Games.

Under the full support of the Sport Bureau of Tibet Autonomous Region, Tibet sports delegation is ready to make all-out efforts in the 12th National Games to be held in three months time.
