Democratic Reform Exhibition draws more and more visitors
11:14, March 02, 2009

As the 50th Anniversary of Democratic Reform in Tibet Exhibition enters its 5th day, more and more people are seen in the Cultural Palace of Nationalities in Beijing.

The exhibition is divided into four parts, The Peaceful Liberation of Tibet, Crack-down on the Armed Rebellion, Democratic Reform in Tibet and Half a Century of Conflict between Reunification and Separation, Progress and Regress. There are over 400 pictures on show as well as over 100 objects diplayed in the exhibition.

Visitors are seen from as early as the building opened in the morning till the closing time, they are from all the circles of the society, old and young, employments, students, tourists, soldiers, academics and so on. They viewed the content seriously and many of them showed their impression to the great changes of Tibet for the past 50 years.

There are also many Tibetan visitors among them, they have much deeper impressions than people from other parts of the China.

One Tibetan who is studying in a college in Beijing told CTIC reporter that she was very impressive on the changes her homeland had over the past few years when she was away for her study in Beijing. Every time she returned home she found people were treated equally, no social order and degrees, people were friendly with each other.

Another Tibetan student, whose family members are herdsmen, came to the exhibition to learn more about the history they're not very familiar with. Although her parents told about the history before, it's not so thoroughly. The exhibition showed her more this time. She is also very glad to tell the reporter that she had very good education since primary school with few tuition fees to pay, even in campus life here in Beijing.
