Largest single investment aid project in Tibet starts

The largest aid project to Tibet valued at 350 million yuan, Huaxin Cement (Tibet) Co., began the second phase of construction in the Shannna Prefecture of Tibet on May 10.

The company will expand the annual production capacity of a new type of dry cement production line to 600,000 tons each year, and will also attach a waste-heat power generation system. Once the expansion is completed, annual tax revenue will increase by over 40 million yuan, and the development of related industries such as minerals, power, transportation, building and services, will be promoted.
