The construction of the natural gas pipeline project speeds up currently in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of northwest China's Gansu Province.
With a total investment of 310 million yuan, the 118-kilometer pipeline project, which started in late 2010, is estimated to be put into use before the end of 2011.
The project will play a key role in quickening the pace of Gansu Province's natural gas utilization as well as boosting Gannan's economic development and ecological conservation.
