2011: Lhasa invests 4 mln for 'courtyard economy'

This year, Lhasa will put 4 million yuan into launching "courtyard economy" (making best use of the courtyard for commodity production such as planting trees and raising animals) together with renovating the local houses, according to sources from Lhasa Agriculture & Husbandry Bureau on March 18.

Last year, more than 1,000 local households developed courtyard economy and achieved great effect.

According to the blueprint, the project will cover 7 counties of Lhasa such as Quxu and Dagze with professional technicians offering guidance.
