During the second visit of Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao to the quake-hit zone, he assured the local Tibetans that the central government would not only restore their homes, but also try its best to rebuild their monasteries, which are regarded as important as their homes.
Now the official guidance on Yushu reconstruction has been issued and pilot programs have been carried out marking the beginning of the implementation of the three-year reconstruction plan released by the central government.
