Tranquil Ra'og Lake makes tourists reluctant to leave
15:20, August 22, 2011

Sitting in the southwest of Baxoi County in Chamdo Prefecture, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, with an elevation of 3,850 meters above the sea level, the dreamland Ra'og Lake covers 22 square kilometers.

The Ra'og Lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and glaciers, such as the Kangrigarbo La Snow Mountain lying to the west of the lake, the Arza Gongla Glacier to the south and the Boshu Laling to the northeast.

When the snow and ice melt, water flows into the lake becoming the major supplementary water resource of the lake.

Its pure blue water together with the surrounding green grass and white snowy mountains makes up a picturesque Ra'og Lake.

It presents totally different charms and appearances in different seasons with attractive colors. For example, the color of the lake water varies with the shift of the season such as bright blue and green.
