China's Tibet delegation meets Mongolian lawmakers to boost ties

A Tibetan delegation from China Tuesday met Mongolian lawmakers here to promote exchanges and boost ties between the region and the country.

Ma Erjun, a senior official with the People's Congress of the Tibetan Autonomous Region who led the delegation, introduced developments in Tibet over the past years.

He said political life in Tibet is stable, economy is developing rapidly and people's living standard is improving.

During the last decade, the Chinese government has spent much funding on development of Tibet's traditional medical science, he added.

Davgadorj Ochirbat, chief of the Mongolian parliament's committee of education, culture and science, said the delegation's visit will boost bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of health, education, culture and science.
